*Made to Order Item* This is an original and ludic fore-edge painting with metallic silver calligraphy ink, as well as black India ink. The picture depictes thornfield hall, and Jane walking from it on the left.
The painting is sealed with fixative to preserve the painting, but the painting is fragile and is recommended to be handled gently.
The quote on the top and bottom of the pages reads: "I am no bird; and no net ensnares me."
Book is painted and signed by the artist, Elizabeth Bradley.
The image has been set with fixative, however I would advise AGAINST buying these editions to read to better preserve the paint and the book itself long term.
Fore edge painting is an art form that goes back to the mid 1600s, and is dwindling craft. I'm happy to be a part of this wave of artists bringing it back!
