This is an sublimation fore-edge of the original painting on a Paperback edition of The Mistborn Trilogy with a depiction of Vin overlooking the Luthadel skyline. The top and bottom edges also have gold leaf inscriptions of the Allomantic symbols mentioned in Era 1.
The image has been set with fixative, however I would advise AGAINST buying these editions to read to better preserve the paint and the book itself long term.
Fore edge painting is an art form that goes back to the mid 1600s, and is dwindling craft. I'm happy to be a part of this wave of artists bringing it back!
